Karwar: Excise officials on Wednesday seized around 80 litres of illegal Goan liquor from two different spots during the raid and have arrested two persons in this regard. Three vehicles which were used in supply of this liquor have also been seized by the police.

According to the department, the excise officials went on for a raid at a house in Sadashivgad and also near Asnoti railway station. A total of 80 litres of Goan liquor, which were stocked illegally was seized.

The arrested accused are Dinesh Sainath Padolkar and Sainath Padolkar of Sadashivgad. Three vehicles were also recovered from their possession. 

The estimated value of the seized liquor is 90,000 rupees.
