Bantwal: Four cattle were killed when a speeding truck overturned at Kalladka of Bantwal taluk on Sunday morning.

According to the sources, the truck was transporting 15 cattles when it fell on its side while maneuvering the curve. Four cattles were killed on the spot and few suffered injuries. 

The driver fled the scene as soon as the mishap occured. It is suspected that truck was over speeding since the cattle on board was illegally transported and hence, the driver lost control over the speeding vehicle resulting in overturning. Police came to the spot and seized the remaining animals.

A case has been registered in the Bantwal police station and investigations are on to find out who were transporting the cattle.
