Annual day at IAUHS Bhatkal: Mafaz Ekkery and Abdul Hanan Askeri honoured with 'Viqar-e-Islamia' award

Bhatkal: The 82nd annual social gathering of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School (IAUHS) was celebrated at Usman Hasan Hall on Sunday, in which the 'Viqaur-e-Islamia' award was given to the outstanding student for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22. 

'Viqaur-e-Islamia' award was conferred to Mafaz Ahmed S/o Mubeen Ahmed Ekkery (2020-21) and Abdul Hannan S/o Askeri Mohammed Hafeez (2021-22). Subhan Shareef S/o Abdul Salam Hawwa bagged runner-up prize for 'Viqaur-e-Islamia for the year 2021-22. 

Chief Guest Harish Goankar, DDPI Karwar, emphasizing the importance of education, said, education is the foundation for upholding strong human values in the individual. He said that we can't blame the world for any obstacles, but they can be overcome by how we face them. If we are good, the world will be better for us. Parents send children to schools with hundreds of dreams, and once they enter the schools, children are connected with teachers. Hence, it is a triangular interconnection between teachers, parents and children that will nurture the student’s future. Commitment and hard-working will lead to success, he noted.

Guest of Honour, Moulana Mohammed Ameen Rukmuddin Nadvi, Islamic scholar and Imam of Noor Jumma Masjid Bhatkal said, the Holy Qur'an is a guide for all, in which it shows how you live a life. If we do good for others, Almighty will to good for us, he added.  He also suggested the students many top personalities in the world are the one who respected their parents and teachers, which gave them the success of top position of respect. Parents dream about the child before or after he is born, but we need to fulfil their dreams by working hard, he added. 

Guest of honour, Mohammed Naveed Kobatte, member of BMJD said our community is lack Civil services, where we don’t have any IAS, IPS IFS, etc. He also suggested teachers to pluck the student who can promise to fulfill civil service examination.

At the ceremony, Janab M M Siddique Memorial Award was presented to Mohammed Shazhan S/o Mohammed Shabbir for being top in examination 2020-21 by scoring 8.885 marks in the SCLC examination. Literary Champions was bagged by Mohammed Anas Salam Biyari in Junior and Abdul Hannan Mohammed Hafeez Askeri in Senior group respectively.

The sports championship was bagged by Mohammed Suhail, Mohammed Asim and Nisar Ahmed Nauman Basha respectively in A, B and C Groups. 

The program commenced with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran by Abdul Hannan Askeri followed by Naat was sung by Mohammed Sibtain, School Anthem and Anjuman Tarana were sung by Mohammed Arqam Dangi and team. Headmaster Shabbir Ahmed Dafedar presented their school’s annual report. School Board Secretary of Abdul Wajid Kola welcomed the guests, Incharge Headmaster Nawayath Colony Noor Mohammed Saheb introduced the guests and prize distribution for literary competition and sports events was presented by Noor saheb, Abdur Razzak and Farooque Ghani and Vote of Thanks was given by Moulana Mohammed Ashraf Muallim.

The gathering was presided by Vice-President II of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Mohammed Sadique Pillar.

On the dais, AHM General Secretary Ismail Siddique and many others were present.
