Bhatkal: The annual social gathering of Anjuman Pre-University College for Women was celebrated on Monday at Khatija Syed Ali Campus, near Shamshuddin Circle here on 24 December, 2018 at Bhatkal.
Chief Guest of the function, Dr Waseema Ayyub, Senior Specialists, Ministry of Health, Oman, addressing the gathering, made Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen as a crown of Bhatkal. She said that the real laurel for the Anjuman is that many of its students have achieved University ranks in the last few years, which is a proud moment for every faculty and students studying here. It was possible only with the immense hard work from teachers and students, which can be achieved only by education. "Educating a boy is educating for himself, but educating a girl is equal to educating a nation", she quoted.
She also congratulated the students who received laurels for their achievements, while also asked the ones who dint receive to be calm and work hard for it in the future.
Guest of Honour, Mrs Sadiya Zarrin, Founder Director of Learning with Difference, expressed her personal thoughts saying that she wanted to work differently and choose to work for differently abled children, children who are dropped out, children who are disabled either mentally or physically. Meanwhile, she also lauded the teachers of Anjuman for their efforts in building a student for giving excellent results for the institution.
Guest of Honour, Mrs Zuha Naitey Zubair, firstly thanked all the founders and management members of Anjuman for shaping a bright society since last hundred years. She said that around thousands of graduates getting outputted from Anjuman are building their careers. "A girl's education defines about the upcoming generation as she is going to be a mother, caretaker etc. A change will happen only when education is obtained to get knowledge, instead of studying only for a degree", she noted.
On this occasion, meritorious students, cultural awardees, sports achievers were honoured with certificates and mementoes.
Mrs Sameena Sada, member of ladies Advisory Committee, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal presided over the function.
The program began with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Zulfa, translated by Mushfiqua, followed by the Naat by Tanzeel Muslim, First PUC students sang Anjuman anthem, while Prof Shreya welcomed and introduced the guest. The annual report was presented by principal Dr Farzana Mohtesham and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof Gazala.

On this occasion, Convenor of Anjuman Centenary celebration, Seema Kashimji, Vice Principal Taliya Muallim and many others were present.
