Bhatkal: The drama which was being played at the Bhatkal PLD bank from past few days has finally come to an end with the bank accepting non-confidence motion against the bank president Sunil Naik.

The non-confidence motion which was presented against the bank president Sunil Naik by a group of bank directors had seen various twists and turns for a certain period of time. As the non-confidence motion had reached High Court, the stay order was given which was in favor of Sunil Naik, which had made his supporters celebrate with joy. The stay order was later cancelled by the court which made Sunil Naik file his resignation. But as per the court order, the meeting of bank directors was held on 4^th of November where the non-confidence motion was presented and approved. The meeting was held under strict police vigilance at the head office of the bank, where 8 members cast their vote in favor of non-confidence motion presented against the bank president Sunil Naik. With this, the 3-year-long term of Sunil Naik being bank president has come to an end for now. Sunil Naik along with few of his supporters was absent in the meeting, whereas, his opposition attending meeting on proposed time made use of their voting right against Sunil Naik.

Members are of the opinion that election commissioner will announce the dates for the election with regard to electing new president within next few days.
