Karwar: "No action has been taken against an ayurveda centre constructed at Kadle in Holanagadde of Kumta taluk violating the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms", alleged District Traditional Boat Fishermen’s Association president Sadananda Jatti Harikantra.

He told reporters that the centre has come up on the beachside to provide services like massage and steam bath. But it’s constructed within 200 metres of the high tide area by violating CRZ rules, he said.

The centre is using domestic electricity connection instead of commercial one. Though the issue was brought to the notice of HESCOM, it’s not bothered to check the misuse of power connection, he accused.
