Kundapur: In a gruesome road accident, that took place between a car and ambulance, one person travelling in a car was killed on the spot and as many as four people sustained grievous injuries. The incident took place in the early morning around 3am, near Touheed high school NH-66 in Shirur of Kundapur taluk on 18th September, Monday.

As per the sources, the deceased victim has been identified as Jagadambika (45) and the injureds are stated as Car driver Goutham, Ayyappa, Ambari and Anushri. All injureds were rushed to Manipal hospital. Other than this, a child who was in car, is said to be safe.

The incident reported when the car was heading towards Kollur from Bengaluru via Sagar road, Bhatkal and ambulance was on the way towards Bhatkal after dropping a patient to Kundapur hospital.

In this regard, a case has been registered against car driver in Byndoor police station limits and further investigations are on.
