Bhatkal: Nearly 200 commerce students participated in a career orientation programme on globally recognised professional qualifications, including Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), organised by the Anjuman Centre of Excellence (ACE) at Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce College in Bhatkal.

Held under the theme "Empowering Commerce Students with Global Professional Career Opportunities," the programme sought to introduce students to professional career pathways in accounting, finance and corporate governance while encouraging them to pursue internationally recognised qualifications alongside their university education. Participants included students of First-Year B.Com, First-Year BBA and Second-Year PUC (Commerce).

Chartered accountants Kiran Ananthroy, Jason Castalino and Deepika Vasani briefed students on the eligibility criteria, examination structure, duration, training requirements, costs and career prospects associated with the CA, CS, CMA and ACCA qualifications. They also highlighted the growing global demand for finance and accounting professionals and encouraged students to begin preparing for professional courses during their undergraduate studies.
