Bhatkal: Bhatkal JDS President Inayatullah Shabandari demanded interrogation of Bhatkal town Sub Inspector Revathi in last month's meat recovery incident at Hanuman Nagar and Kogti temples in Bhatkal. He was talking at a press conference held at a private hotel in Bhatkal on Friday evening.

He said that S.I Revathi had revealed the involvement of Bhatkal BJP and Sangh parivar leaders in those incidents in her letter to the Home Minister. She had also  leveled serious allegations against few Bhatkal police officers including ASP Anup Kumar Shetty claiming  they are playing with the peace and unity of the place, instead of arresting the real miscreants responsible for these incidents.

Inayatullah, also said, how big might be the accused, he should be arrested irrespective of anything. Since SI Revathi is much aware of this incident, she should be taken for CID investigations, he added.

Recalling the incident of assault on Bhatkal block Congress president in police station, he said that after having the Congress ruling government in the state, Bhatkal seemed to be forcefully ruled by BJP. After observing all these issues in the town, District incharge minister R.V. Deshpande and Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya haven't raised any voice a single time. This resembles the violence of laws in Bhatkal. Some are playing politics by centering the name of Bhatkal, to which the people of Bhatkal are victimised. An atmosphere of fear in Bhatkal has raised to such an extend that, even wedding processions need to proceed with police security.

Seeking this, he also blamed Minister RV Deshpande and MLA Mankal Vaidya too for being responsible for such an fearistic atmosphere. He ensured, the matter will not be closed until and unless real accuseds are arrested. It has clearly revealed that to spoil the name and put in trouble for muslims, the meat bags were thrown at temples. He further alerted that, huge protest will be made observing this issue, after bringing it to the notice of JDS senior leader Kumaraswamy.

During press meet, MD Naik, Taluka Panchayat member Mohsin Jukka, Pandu Naik, Krishnananda Pai, Zainulabideen, Krishna Hallare, Ishwar Naik Murdeshwar, V.R.Naik, Dyavayya Naik, Saver Dsouza and others were present.
