BMYF inaugurates Road Safety Campaign, awareness programs to be held in all areas

Bhatkal: ‘I appeal all the parents to check on their wards for driving the vehicles without license and the youth to come out from harsh driving and follow all the safety guidelines’, requested the Bhatkal CPI Suresh Naik at the inaugural function for the ‘Road Safety Awareness Program’ which was organized by the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation (BMYF) with the partnership of the department of Bhatkal Police at the Nawayath Colony Rabita Hall on Thursday evening.

Mr. Muzammil Kazia, who was present as the chief guest of function, in his inaugural address said that the riders or drivers should be very careful with testing their vehicles regularly. He demanded the panchayat and the municipality to pay attention towards repair and conditioning of roads. He said that the people were usually seen busy in conversation standing in the middle of the roads along with their vehicles. He advised the people to pay attention towards the issue and stop such practices. He urged that the efforts for road safety should not be confined to the program, but be practical and should be followed in everyday life.

CPI Suresh Naik, who was speaking for the police department said that the driving without license was the main problem in Bhatkal. He appealed all the parents to check on their wards for driving the vehicles without license. He expressed his concern over the youth riding with extreme speed and said that this would not only bring suffering to them but also others. He advised the youth to give up triple rides and take all the care while riding ladies in pillion. The CPI complimented the BMYF for their social effort and assured his complete support in the following the safety rules practically.

The BMYF president Imtiyaz Udyawar presided over the function. The program begun with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Furqan Shabandari and the Kannada translation by a teacher of Jamia, Mr. Faraz. The executive member of federation Advocate Imran Lanka welcomed the gathering. The member of educational board of federation Mr. Mubasshir Hallare convened the program and presented the vote of thanks.

Tanzeem GS Mohiddin Altaf Kharoori, BMYF GS Moulvi Muhammed Irfan SM Nadwi, PSI Kodgonti were present on the dais.

Speaking to Sahilonline after the function, the BMYF secretary Imtiyaz Udyawar said that they would try to reach every student from all the schools and colleges in Bhatkal by organizing campus programs to create awareness about the road safety. He also said that the programs will be held with all the sports centers and clubs in town with the same motto. A huge gathering of youth was present at the function.
