Bhatkal: Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce College, Bhatkal, organised a tree plantation drive as part of the Vana Mahotsav campaign, along with an awareness programme highlighting the importance of forest conservation and environmental protection.

Addressing the gathering, Hasta Shetty, Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), Bhatkal Sub-Division, who was the chief guest, stressed the important role of students in protecting and preserving the environment.

Presiding over the programme, college principal Prof. Mohammed Yusuf Kola urged students not only to plant saplings but also to take responsibility for their proper care and long-term preservation.

As part of the programme, dignitaries, faculty members and students planted saplings on the college campus.

The event was attended by NSS Programme Officer Prof. Damodar Naik, IQAC Coordinator Dr. D.S. Prabhu, Scout Coordinator K. Kalimulla and Eco Club Coordinator Bibi Noora Kasma, besides teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
