Bhatkal: In an attempt to create the awareness about the disadvantages of plastic bags, the Top Emergency Association has distributed environment friendly bags in Bhatkal today.

Keeping in mind the difficulty of masses in carry their things after the official ban on plastic bags from the government, the association came up with the alternate to help people and ease their effort by distributing eco-friendly bags at the public places.

Speaking to SahilOnline, the president of Top Emergency Association, Mr. Top Nisar Ahmed has said that even after the ban from the government, the general public has not stopped using the plastic bags. The motive behind distributing eco-friendly bags was to create awareness among public and help them stop using plastic bags, he said.

Municipal vice president KM Ashfaque, Chief officer Ramesh, engineering Venkatesh ,Soujya, Venugopal Shastri, Tanzeem member Muhammed Meeran and others were present on the occasion.
