Bhatkal: Abdul Bari Khateeb, the right hand batsman from ANFA, was the biggest buy in the Bhatkal Cricket League (BCL) players' auction, which was organized by Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation here on Thursday at Khushaal hall, Bhatkal. Abdul Bari, who began with a base point of one, was finally bought by 'C star XI' for a whopping 118 points.
In all, 192 cricketers including 12 icon players were sold from a total number of 320 players who had registered in the auction. The 12 franchises which took part in the auction were allocated a total of 300 points.
The franchises in the auction were - Dominators, C Star XI, Mak sports , Murdeshwar Brothers , RMS kings, Sky Breezers, United Bhatkal, Trends Setters, Nawayath Strikers, A3 Mobile, Silver Riders and Ramzani Challengers.
The auctioning event began with the recitation of holy Qur'an by Ibrahim Maaiz MJ.
Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation President Mr. Imtiyaz Udayawar Presided over the event.
The event was expertly hosted by Mr. Mubasshir Hallare.
On this occasion secretary Moulavi Hussain Jukaku, Treasure Nahid Kola, Convenor Umair Sayeed Ruknuddin and many others were present.
