Bhatkal: Bhatkal Town police have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly attempting to sell MDMA on Kidwai Road in Bhatkal.

 

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Rizwan, a resident of Bundar Road in Bhatkal. Police seized 2.18 grams of MDMA, valued at an estimated Rs. 21,800, along with a motorcycle.

 

The accused was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody. Police are likely to seek his custody for further investigation into the alleged supply and sale of the drug.

 

According to police, Rizwan had been working in Dubai and returned to Bhatkal around seven to eight months ago. He reportedly told investigators that he had since been running a cosmetic business in Bhatkal. Police are verifying the details.
