Bhatkal: A Dubai-returnee committed suicide by hanging himself to the roof at his house, who is identified as Ramchandra Durgayya Devadiga, resident of Mankulli in the taluk.

It is informed that his body was found hanging to the ceiling fan at his residence.

According to the sources, Ramchandra was employed in Dubai for last 25 years and had been to his native Bhatkal four days earlier. He was much concerned with getting her daughter's marriage done and was trying to find a matching relationship for her. It is suspected that he might have taken this extreme step of committing suicide after getting disheartened over failure in matching a relation to her daughter.

A case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station.
