Bhatkal: Member of legislative assembly for Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency, Sunil Naik, on Thursday gave a surprise visit to Bhatkal Tahsildar office and Nemmadi Kendra, where he got irked over the present condition of those places and took officials to task.
Speaking to pressperons, MLA elaborated the condition of Tahsildar office saying that there were only 9 staffs in the office instead of 30 staffs, including Tahsildar and assistant Tahsildar too were absent. He said that Nemmadi Kendra too is being run under the poor facility condition. These are the two major places, where the functioning of majority of people's work is done. But unfortunately these two departments are processed in a poor state.
MLA further said that he has informed about the conditions of these offices to deputy commissioner S S Nakul and has requested to solve the issue by 15 days, for which DC has responded to it positively.
When asked about the increase of stray dogs in the region, MLA said that the muncipality have been already alerted about it and the action is being carried by them.
Briefing about sand supply to the region, he said that he has demanded with government to grant permission for the supply of sand equally for all regions in the district by next 15 days or else will hold a 'Dharna' in front of district In-charge minister RV Deshpande.
However, it is very much interesting to see that after the efforts from MLA, what will be the impact in the coming days.
