Two more arrested in stone pelting incident on Bhatkal TMC office: Arrest toll rises to 15

Bhatkal: In an incident of stone pelting on Bhatkal Municipal Building last Thursday, September 14, Bhatkal police have arrested two more accused, who were identified as Shankar Naik and Devendra Naik.

Shankar Naik, a resident of Chowtani, is related to Shri Ram Sena, while Devendra Naik of Mundalli is also said to be a member of right-wing organizations.

Bhatkal DySP Shiva Prasad said that both of them were arrested from Mangaluru and were presented in Bhatkal court today on 21st September, and was later sent to the district prison in Karwar.

As per the Bhatkal DySP, till now, 15 accused involved in stone pelting on TMC office have been arrested and all of them are put behind the bars in district prison.
