Mangaluru: It is time to honour those students who excel. SSLC,  college toppers and huffaz will be felicitated with the prestigious  M.A. Ghani  Awards for Academic Excellence at an event to be held on October 7, 2018 at Boat Club, Sultan Battery, Mangaluru. The Family Get Together, with a spotlight on the awards, will encompass a range of activities including, games, quiz, kids' events and lunch, said SM Sawood, convenor of the event.

Moulana Abdul Aleem Khateeb Nadvi, khateeb of Jamia Masjid, Bhatkal,  will be the chief guest at the event.

 The  Bhatkali Jamatul  Muslimeen, Mangaluru  had last year launched the  academic awards in the memory of late MA Ghani saheb, former president of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen and one of the  illustrious leaders of Bhatkal.

The awards have been instituted  to perpetuate the memory of Ghani saheb. The awards will be  presented to those students in SSLC, PU 2 and Degree who have scored 85 per cent and above marks in 2018 final examinations.
