Bhatkal: Lakshmi Manjunath Naik, a student of Siddhartha Degree College in Shirali, has been selected to represent Karnataka University at the All India Inter-University Chess Tournament.

According to a press release issued by the college, Lakshmi delivered an impressive performance at the Inter-College Single Zone Chess Tournament conducted by Karnataka University, Dharwad, for the academic year 2025–26, and was selected as a Karnataka University Blue.

She will represent Karnataka University at the national-level tournament scheduled to be held from February 21 to 23 at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The management of Siddhartha Degree College, along with the principal, physical education director, and teaching and non-teaching staff, have congratulated the student on her achievement.
