Bhatkal: Majlis-e-islah-o-tanzeem nominated Mohammed Sadiq Matta and Mohammed Ashfaque KM for the post of president and vice president respectively for the upcoming Town Muncipal Council (TMC) Bhatkal, election which will be held on 9th September. 

Both have been nominated Wednesday morning after voting process by the members of Majlis-e-islah-o-tanzeem under the vigilance of political panel convener MJ Abdul Raqeeb. The meeting was presided by Vice president of Tanzeem Inayatullah Shabandari. 

Muhammed Sadique Matta has been working in municipality as a councillor from more than 12 years. He has won continuously 3 times from Maqdoom colony ward No. 3 and is always indulge in the betterment and improvement of his Area. He's also concerned about the neighboring wards and areas and to help and solve their issues. In the last term he was the chairman of the municipality's standing committee.

Mohammed Sadique Matta is also an active member of Bhatkal Muslim youth federation and presently he is the convener of social welfare committee of federation. 

Tanzeem candidate for vice president, Mohammed Ashafaque KM belongs to Khalifa street and he has won 5 times as councilor from ward no. 13 (Siddique street, Sultan street)  ward no. 16 (Khalifa Street, Mushma street, Kazia Street, Alwa street) and ward no. 21( Ghausia street etc). He is serving for municipality from over 20 years. He was also been the chairman of municipality's standing committee for 4 times.

It should be noted that among the 23 councillors in the TMC, 15 councillers have been nominated by the Tanzeem.
