Uttar Kannada Association for Deaf to inaugurate on 22nd Oct in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: The inauguration ceremony of the Uttara Kannada Deaf Association is scheduled to be held on 22nd October, 10.30 am at the Shirali Durga Parmeshwari Hall of Bhatkal taluk. The discussion regarding the purpose of the establishment of the foundation and related things will be vocalized during the ceremony.

Under the leadership of president of association Honnayya Moger and the general secretary Muhammed Yusuf Motia, more than 150 deaf people of the district were given membership. With the co-operation of these members, the association is registered on the name of Ravi Raj Chokni, a teacher of Bhatkal New English School.

In a press release, the authorities have requested public to attend the inaugural ceremony and show their unity with the association.

The MLA Mankal Vaidya will inaugurate the program and Zilla panchayat president Jay Shree Moger will preside over the function.

The Deputy Commissioner of district SS Nickol, ZP member Albert D’Costa, Tanzeem president Muzammil Kazia, Industrialist Babu Moger, president of State Association for Deaf and various authorities of districts will be present as the guests on the occasion.
