Bhatkal: Bhatkal's most influential and powerful socio-political NGO, Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, on Wednesday received a prestigious 'Achievers of Karnataka' award at an event organized by Vijay Karnataka at Bengaluru.

The event 'Achievers of Karnataka Book release & Award ceremony' was held at Hotel Shangri-La in Bengaluru. 

Vijay Karnataka of 'The Times Group' had made a sincere effort to identify and honour individuals and institutions for their extraordinary and outstanding contribution to North Karanataka. It had chosen 39 organizations from North Karnataka giving excellent social services, in which Bhatkal's Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem was one among them. 

A delegation of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem consisting of its general secretary Mohiuddin Altaf Kharuri, Vice president-1 Inayatullah Shabandari, Vice president-2 Mohtisham Jaffar, administrative secretary Maulana Yasir Baramavar and Ashfaque KM received the award from Dr. G Parameshwara, DyCM of Karnataka.
