Bhatkal: Uttar Kannada district football association (UKDFA) which is affiliated to Karnataka state football association (KSFA) organized a district level league championship 2019, in which BIFA FC emerged as champion team of Uttar Kannada district.
It shall be noted that every year KSFC conducts the league. This event was the 2nd edition, in which the final match was played in Bhatkal at Taluka stadium YMSA ground on 27th January.
The league was divided into 2 zones . Zone A matches were played in Sirsi forestry college ground on 5th and 6th January, where 5 teams namely Sirsi Marikamba FC , Mundgod FC , Kumta Revanth FC , Haliyal FC and Dandeli FC. Top two teams were qualified to play semi-final in which Mundgod FC and Sirsi Marikamba FC had qualified.
Zone-B league matches were played in Bhatkal, where BIFA FC , Karwar FC, Rufc , Manki FC Honnavar and Bhatkal FC qualified for semis. First semi-final was played between BIFA FC and Sirsi Marikamba FC, in which BIFA won 6-1.
2nd semi-final was played between Mundgod FC and Bhatkal FC, where
Bhatkal FC won in penalties 4-2.
BIFA FC and Bhatkal FC qualified for finals to battle for championship title. However, BIFA FC managed to get the title outclassing Bhatkal FC by 1-0
The champion team was awarded a cash prize of 10,000 rupees along with rolling trophy and medals, while runner-up Bhatkal was given 5,000 rupees along with medals.
Chief guest in the closing ceremony included UKDFA patron Hifzurrahman Barmawer, while other guests of honor included general secretary of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, Altaf Kharuri and Vice-president Inayatullah Shabandari.
Other guests were president of ULDFA Aheed Mohtisham, President of Sirsi FC,Mr Amit Netrekar; General secretary of Mundgod FC, Vikram Patil; Anjuman Executive Asif Damudi, BIFA FC General Secretary Ismail Musba, UKDFA General Secretary Maawiya Mohtisham and Amanulla Kola of Comfy Industries.

Best Discipline Team : MFA Honnavar
Prizes for official referee were also awarded to Saqlain Sm, Tabish Gawai, Afraz Megoon and Usaid SB were honoured for serving as referees.
On this occasion, U-14 and U-12 player of the year 2018 award was given to Imaad Abdul Qadir and Abdul Hameed Mohtisham respectively.
Special awards and momento to U-14 BIFA junior team were given away on emerging as runner-up position in all India football tournament that held at lathur in Maharashtra last year.
