Haliyal: BJP workers of Haliyal marched to the tahsildar’s office here on 22nd September, Friday demanding justice to the arrested party workers in Bhatkal and the kin of Ramachandra Naik, who had set himself ablaze last week.

They presented a memorandum to the DC through the tahsildar urging the former to ensure justice to the family of Naik, besides providing them a compensation of Rs 25 lakh. Ramachandra Naik, a vendor, had set himself ablaze fearing eviction of his shop by the Bhatkal TMC.
