Udupi: The State Cabinet gave its approval to renowned Abu Dhabi-based Indian businessman B R Shetty's company to build a 400-bed super-speciality hospital at Moodanidmaboru in Udupi.

B R Shetty has decided to build  a super speciality hospital equipped with modern facilities, in memory of his mother Kusuma Shetty at his hometown Udupi, said Law minister T B Jayachandra.

The government has approved a piece of land for the construction of the hospital at Moodanidmaboru and Rs 200 crore will be invested for this purpose.

As per the agreement, this hospital will be given on lease for Mr. Shetty's company for 30 years.
