Mangalore: A BSNL employee lost her life  when a tanker rammed into her two-wheeler  near Mulki bus stand,  22 km from Mangalore on Friday evening. 

The deceased has been identified as Usha Ballal (56), a resident of Udupi, but working at the BSNL office in Mulki. According to sources, she was on way to the bank to deposit money when a speeding tanker knocked her down from the rear. She was killed on the spot.

A case has been registered at Mangalore North traffic police station.
