Kumta: Driver including passengers escaped unhurt after the car in which they were travelling was gutted in an accidental fire which erupted due to technical issues, near Manaki NH66 in the outskirts of Kumta.

The car belonged to Babu Kubal, a businessman. 

It is said that the mishap took place when the car was moving towards Manaki from Kumta town. The fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot immediately after the incident and was successful in extinguishing the fire from further spreading. However, the car was burnt completely. 

The traffic movement on the highway was disrupted due to the mishap.
