Bhatkal: Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, one of the oldest organizations and a prestigious educational charitable will hold centenary celebrations upon the completion of 100 years in 2019.
Addressing the press conference held here at Anjuman office, president of AHM Abdur Rahim Jukaku, said, the grand inaugural ceremony of the centenary event will be held on January 2019 and will last till the end of the year 2019. In the inaugural ceremony, the contributions of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen towards the field of education will be enlightened. The centenary celebrations will carry events like educational seminars, exhibitions, functions, quiz competition, felicitation ceremony for teaching and non-teaching staffs, etc. "We will meet our Alumnis and take their suggestions regarding steps to improve the organization", he added.
Further speaking, additional secretary of AHM, Ishaaque Shabandari, explained about the preparations ahead of centenary celebrations. He said that the celebrations will begin with a procession from Anjumanabad, which will mark through the main streets of the town and end up at Islamia Anglo-Urdu high school ground, where the brief introduction to the centenary celebrations will be addressed. The next day will continue with the public programs, in which the introduction about the journey of Anjuman and its efforts in the upliftment of education in the region will be enlightened. There are hundreds of students graduated from Anjuman, who have obtained university ranks, will be felicitated on the occasion. "A day only for ladies will also be arranged, in which the entertaining programs for ladies will be hosted", he said.
"During the occasion of centenary celebrations, we will be unveiling the new buildings of Anjuman and have planned to include several new courses in the file of Anjuman", said AHM general secretary Ismail Siddique.
Meanwhile, the logo of the centenary celebrations event was also launched.
Abdul Raqeeb MJ, convenor of centenary celebration committee welcomed the presspersons on the occasion, while GS Ismail Siddique read the press release.
On this occasion, AHM Vice president-I Abdur Rahman Batin, Aftab Kola, Dr. Zubair Kola, Inayatullah Shabandari, Parvez SM, Afaque Kola, Asaf Damudi, Ismail Shabandari, Azeem Ambari, Phelwan Basha, Zubair Misbah, Jailani Shabandari and others were present.
Anjuman was established in the year 1919 by prominent Bhatkali personalities such as M.M Siddique, I.H Siddique, and F.A Hassan, who had the vision to bring benefits of Education to the community for its social, economic, and political upliftment.
