Karwar (DHNS): City Muncipal Council will develop the children’s garden at Rabindranath Tagore beach, in Karwar, at a cost of Rs 10 lakh in the first stage.

The garden will soon see new model toys including slides, swings and other equipments installed shortly. Action plan of Rs 20 lakh has been earmarked for the overall development of garden. All three ponds will be cleaned.

Varieties saplings will be planted and basic facilities will be provided to public, Municipal Commissioner S Yogeshwar said. Salary for security labors will be paid from money collected after selling coconuts grown in the garden.
