"Intelligent citizens are necessary in building bright future of a nation" - Minority officer Shamsuddin in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: "The purpose of education is not only to get information but also to attain awareness. Culture is gained through education. Earlier with the nature, culture and character of the individual it was identified that a person is educated. Today, the education is obtained, but due to lack of ethics, the students are not following the culture", expressed Uttar Kannada district minority welfare officer Shamsuddin Shaikh in Bhatkal.

Present as a chief guest, he was speaking in a velidictory function of a two-day 'Citizenship Training Camp'  at Anjuman College of Education in Bhatkal. Addressing the students of B.Ed, he said, "you all going to be a teachers in the future and as a student now, you all have to become a good human first and have to prove yourselves as an ideal citizen who can build future of the nation". Further speaking, he explained about the facilities, benefits and schemes from Minority Welfare department given for education purpose and asked the students to make the full use of it to obtain education and in building the nation.

College board secretary Aftab Qamri too expressed his views on the occasion.

Principal of the college, Dr. Zakiya Zarzari presented the report of the camp. The event was chaired by Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Vice President Abdul Rahman Batin.

The program began with the recitation of versus from holy Quran by a student of B.Ed first year Mayanaz. Students of first year Shaheena and Saba delivered welcome address and vote of thanks respectively.
