The night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am and the weekend curfew from 9 pm Friday to 5 am Monday will continue to be in force in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in neighbouring Kerala.
An order to this effect was issued by DK deputy commissioner K V Rajendra.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take steps to withdraw the price hike of LPG cylinders and said rising prices of fuels and domestic cooking gas are "unacceptable".
Claiming that the Centre is taking "anti-people" policies, Banerjee said "unprecedented" hikes in petrol, diesel and cooking gas are taking a toll on common people.

Additional Director General of Police (Railways) Bhaskar Rao on Tuesday filed a protest petition in the CBI special court against the closure report by the CBI in the phone tapping case.
