A middle-aged couple from Kerala allegedly died by suicide inside their lodge room at Falnir in the city on Wednesday, police sources said.
The deceased are from Taliparamba in Kannur district of Kerala.

: ‘MS Nautica,’ the fifth cruise vessel of the current season called on New Mangalore Port here.
Carrying 550 passengers and 400 crew members, the 180.5 m vessel has 30,277 gross tonnage and has a draft of 6 m, said a release from New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) on Wednesday.
The vessel came from Muscat to India en route to Male (Maldives) and called on Mumbai and Mormugao ports earlier.

The district additional and sessions court dealing with POCSO cases in Udupi has sentenced a 49-year-old man to life imprisonment in a case related to sexually harassing his minor stepdaughter.
The convict, who was found guilty in the sexual harassment case, is Ganesh Nayak.

A lodge in Ujire area of Belthangady taluk in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district was raided and two persons were arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket from the premises, police said on Wednesday.
Five women were rescued during the raid on Tuesday evening, which was conducted after getting information from activists of a civil society organisation.
