Mangaluru: Private hospitals cannot send back COVID-19 patients for any reason, district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said on Monday.

Karwar: Uttara Kannada district recorded 78 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday while the number of recoveries were 40.
As per the Health Department Bulletin, maximum fresh cases (39) were reported in Haliyal and Dandeli taluks while Ankola saw 16 cases, Bhatkal 13, Kumta 8 and Mundgod and Karwar one each.
