Gokarna: Karwar District Sessions Judge VS Dharawadkar acquitted the accused persons related to attempted murder of Gurumurthy Bhat, volunteer of Ramachandrapur Math, on September 11,2008.

According to a complaint registered by Shekhar Naik, Rajgopal Adi, Ravi Adi and Manu Nawad had attempted to murder Gurumurthy Bhat during the protest against handing over of Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Temple to Ramachandra Math on the hereditary priests of the temple.

The case was upheld by the court. Over 27 witness were detained in 9 years.The court has acquitted the accused.
