Dandeli: A 60-year-old man is said to have been hacked to death by his own son at Pannasoli in Joida taluk. The body was found on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Bomma Biru Kolapate, a resident of the pannasoli village. The accused Biru Bomma Kolapate, is absconding. According to police officials Bomma was killed two days ago by Biru, one of his seven sons, at his residence and hibody was thrown behind another son Jondu’s house.

The exact reason for the crime has not yet been ascertained and the police suspect he might have been killed over a family dispute.
