Karwar: R V Deshpande, minister for heavy and medium industries has urged the employees to keep the government offices clean and has given them the deadline of 15 days to clean up the all the clutter from the offices.

Speaking at a programme arranged by the district administration on Gandhi Jayanti on Sunday, Deshpande said that he visited some government offices where the condition was pathetic and this made him to stresson cleanliness of government offices.

 On the same eve of Gandhi Jayanti water sport at Karwar beach was also inaugurated by him.

 "The government has released a huge fund for the development of tourism in Uttara Kannada and many tourist attractions will be introduced in beaches of the district," he said.

R V Deshpande is also incharge of Uttara Kannada district.
