The elections were conducted smoothly in Qatar, drawing participation from members across the country as well as those residing abroad through an online voting facility.

According to a press release issued by the newly elected General Secretary, the formation of the 18-member Executive Committee was carried out in phases. In the initial stage, three members of the outgoing Executive Committee — Razeen Ruknuddin, Aqib Subedar and Maulana Yahya Barmawar — were elected. Subsequently, Razeen Ruknuddin was entrusted, with the support of the other two members, with overseeing and conducting the election process.

Under his supervision, voting for the new executive body was held on January 16 at Al Muntaza Park in Doha. Out of nearly 150 registered members, 89 exercised their franchise. A total of 17 candidates contested for 12 seats, all of whom were declared elected.

A key feature of the election was the use of modern technology. The voting process was conducted digitally through a mobile application, ensuring a smooth and transparent exercise.

As per the rules, the President has the authority to nominate three additional members to the Executive Committee, following which the 18-member body will be fully constituted.

Other members elected to the Executive Committee include Abdul Azeem D.F., Maulana Abdul Azeem Ruknuddin, Maulana Fuzail Armar, Syed Rabi S.M., Abdul Ghani Ali Akbara, Zia Kola, Syed Zuher S.M. Market and Ammar Gawai.
