Bhatkal: The District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, and Public Instruction Department  jointly organised district-level sports meet for specially-abled students here at Taluka Stadium, Bhatkal on Saturday 22 December, 2018.

The sports meet was Inaugurated by Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik.

After inagurating the meet, Sunil Naik said, conducting sports competitions for differently-abled children would help in bringing out their talent and would encourage them to participate in sports events. 

More than 50 students from all over district participated.

Proving that physical or mental disability were not a hindrance, the athletes at the event participated in 100m, 200m, shot put and few others games was orgnaised.

On this occasion several students and physical education teachers were also felicitated by MLA.

Uttara Kannada Zilla Panchayat President Jayshree Moger, Block Education Officer Mr Munji, Shnkar Naik, Gopal Naik and many others were present.
