Mangaluru: All the welfare schemes of the government should reach genuine beneficiaries, said Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V.
He said welfare schemes for Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and others should reach the beneficiaries.
Chairing a review meeting on the Prime Minister’s 15 point programme, he said the benefits under Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation should reach the beneficiaries.
NRIs can register their names for the voter’s identity card through form 6A. There is a need to create awareness of the same. The benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana scheme should reach pregnant women, he added. The deputy commissioner directed the officials to bring school dropouts back to the portal of the schools by convincing their parents.
The youth from minority communities should be enrolled under Kaushalya Karnataka Yojane and should be imparted skill training, he said.
A no-objection certificate from Central Ground Water Board is mandatory for sinking borewells under Ganga Kalyana Scheme, he added.
