Mangaluru: Drug peddler caught selling ganja

Mangaluru: Sleuths of city crime branch (CCB) in Mangaluru has arrested a 24-year old man on charge of supplying ganja to students and youths across the city. He was nabbed while he was in the process of supplying drugs, city police chief M Chandra Sekhar said.

The police have identified the accused as Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Adyar village in Mangaluru taluk.

According to police, Abdul Jabbar was selling narcotics stashed in a scooter in front of an engineering college and management college at Adyar.

Officials seized around 1 kg of ganja valued at Rs 30,000, a mobile phone and the scooter, all valued at Rs 90000.

Meanwhile, there are two cases of ganja selling against Abdul registered in Bantwal rural and Mangaluru rural police stations respectively.

He is sent to the jurisdictional Mangaluru rural police station for further action.
