Dubai: The Annual Health Awards 2025, the UAE’s premier platform for recognizing excellence in healthcare, is set to celebrate its largest edition yet on October 9 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, with more than 1,000 participants expected to attend.
In a landmark initiative, Health Magazine, in collaboration with Thumbay Media, will honor 15 distinguished Emirati healthcare professionals along with winners across 46 categories that encompass hospitals, clinical excellence, leadership, health technology, public health campaigns, and other vital areas of the sector.
To guarantee transparency and ensure that recognition is based purely on merit, Thumbay Media has partnered with the global consultancy Knight Frank. Its Healthcare Advisory team will oversee a rigorous, multi-stage evaluation process that includes screening, shortlisting, due diligence, and jury presentations. The methodology further involves verifying credentials, conducting interviews where required, and applying transparent scoring benchmarks to ensure that only the most deserving candidates are acknowledged.
Vignesh S. Unadkat, Chief Operating Officer of Thumbay Media, emphasized the importance of this independent evaluation, stating that by engaging a globally respected firm such as Knight Frank, the organizers are sending a clear message that recognition at the Health Awards cannot be bought, influenced, or swayed—it must be earned. He added that the objective is to safeguard the credibility of the awards while celebrating genuine excellence in healthcare.
Dr. Gireesh Kumar, Associate Partner for Healthcare Advisory at Knight Frank MENA, highlighted the consultancy’s role in the process, noting that their responsibility is to ensure the evaluation remains objective, transparent, and evidence-based. He expressed pride in contributing to what he described as a prestigious initiative dedicated to honoring those who are raising the standards of healthcare in the region.
The awards will be amplified by an extensive multimedia campaign spanning television, print, digital, and social platforms, designed to showcase the achievements of nominees and winners while highlighting their impact on healthcare delivery and innovation.
The submission process has been structured in two distinct stages to ensure fairness and thorough evaluation. The first stage is the nomination phase, which remains open until August 25, 2025, allowing individuals and organizations to put forward their names or others for consideration. This is followed by a detailed submission phase, where nominees are required to provide comprehensive information and evidence of their achievements through the official website at www.healthmagazine.ae/awards, with an extended window available until September 20, 2025, for those seeking to finalize their entries.
Healthcare professionals, institutions, and innovators across the UAE and beyond have been invited to participate, with the awards offering a significant opportunity to showcase how their work has created a meaningful difference in the healthcare landscape.
