Kumta: Eid-Ul-Azha, a festival of sacrifice was celebrated with religious fervor and Spirit of Loyalty by offering the special Eid ul Azha prayers on 12th September, Monday morning. 

Eid Namaz, a special prayer was performed exactly at 8:30AM in Eidgah maidan. Imam & Khateeb of Kumta Juma Masjid Maulana Minnatullah Qasmi led the prayer. At 8:00AM, a procession was led from Juma masjid to Eidgah maidan, reciting takbeers.

In a brief Urdu khutba, Maulana delivered a speech on the speciality of Eid ul Azha and enlightened it's values. He said, "Qurbani (Sacrifice) is the best deed in the site of Allah (SWT) and for every eligible muslim, its mandatory for him to sacrifice animal i.e Goat, Sheep, Cattle, Camel". Later he continued addressing the specialties and advantages of Qurbani (Sacrifice).
