Bhatkal: A plan for 'Clean Bhatkal & Road Safety' has been initiated in collaboration with many social organisations of Bhatkal including Majlis-e-Islah wo Tanzeem and Federation of  Bhatkal.

In a press conference  held at Rabita Hall on 1st June, Mohiddin Ruknuddin, General Secretary of Rabita Society presented the plan to make Bhatkal a clean and safe city.

Addressing the media person, Mohiddin Ruknuddin stated that they have approached various government entities, civic bodies including Bhatkal Town Municipal Corporation, police department officials, educational institutes and others official bodies. The main aim of this project is to ensure safety and cleaniness, so in order to make it successful every community should join hands together and create a lasting impression". 

Competitions will be held within schools and colleges on cleanliness and award will be presented to those institutes. Awareness will be created in the form of seminars, debates and projects will be held to ensure that the development is on-track.

The commencement of this project will be held on 31st of July with a grand ceremony to make Bhatkal a 'Model City '.
