Karwar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officers arrested District Fire Department Officer Shreenivas, on Thursday.

while taking bribe of Rs 5,750 from Raghupathi Subray Hedge, of Sirsi, to provide No Objection Certificate (NOC) to renew licence of fireworks shop owned by him.

“Based on the complaint regestered by Raghupathi against Shreenivas, who demanded Rs 10,000 to provide NOC, he was arrested at fire department in City while taking bribe,”ACB Inspector Ramesh informed.
