Karwar: The coastal security team (Karavali Coast Guard) has seized two boats ALIFA and LOVE FTRANCIS II which were found fishing into the sea without proper documents pertaining to their boats and fishing permit. The fishermen present on these boats also failed to submit their own identity proof sought by the coastal guards. The lack of any proper document made the security team to seize the boats and hand over the fishermen to the Coastal Security Police.

It is said the Coastal officers did not find any suspicious object on the boats after search. The Coast Guard boat ICGS C 155 taking the two boats into its custody handed them to the Coastal Security Police on Karwar Coast for further investigation.
