Karwar: Excise sleuths have arrested one person involved in supplying illegal Goan liquor here at Anmod check post in Joida in Uttara Kannada district on Saturday late night. 

Police also seized a swift car which was used in trafficking of liquor.

The accused is identified as Basavaraj Nadkadi.

It is informed that around 69 litres of Goan liquor worth 4.24 lakh rupees has been confiscated from the accused.

A case has been registered and the accused is sent to judicial custody.
