Mangaluru: A theft incident reported at two different houses  in Irvathoor village in Bantwal taluk in Dakshina Kannada district, where the thieves decamped with gold ornaments and cash amount.

The houses belong to Hasanabba and Isubu. The thieves gained entry into Hasanabba’s house by breaking open the door and have taken away 40 pawan gold ornaments.

The thieves also gained entry into the house of Isubu by breaking open the back door and have decamped with Rs 55,000 cash.

Dog squad and finger print experts were pressed into service. A case has been registered at Poonjalkatte police station.
