Mangaluru: Revenue Minister R.V. Deshpande said here on Sunday that the State government has given administrative approval for building new taluk office buildings in Moodbidri and Kadaba in Dakshina Kannada.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the offices of Tahsildars are functioning in the two newly carved out taluk headquarters.

Now, the government will have to call for bids and select an agency to construct the required buildings.

The Minister said that the revenue records under Bhoomi software have been transferred to the offices of Tahsildars.

The inauguration of two taluks scheduled on Sunday was postponed in view of the death of former Minister, Congress leader and actor Ambareesh. Mr. Deshpande also cancelled his other scheduled programmes in the district on Sunday.
