Haliyal: In a ghastly collision between a two-wheeler and a truck, two boys who were riding in the bike lost their lives on the spot in a mishap that happened near Mavinkoppa on the border of Haliyal taluk on Saturday morning.

Vithal Jaggu Kokare (20) of Nagalavi village in Dharwad district and Tukaram Vithu Toravat (12) of Hanchinkumari in Dharwad district died on the spot.

Haliyal police have registered a case.
