Karwar,dhns: District Principal and Session Judge T G Shivashankargouda said one can have healthy body only if they have healthy mind. In this stressful lifestyle it has become difficult for one to maintain a healthy mind.
Speaking after inaugurating the World Mental Health Day programme in Karwar on Wednesday, he said India has 80% of its population in youths category. However, majority of them have been addicted to the internet. They have the tendency of searching everything in Google. However, 60% of the information available on the internet is not true. He said the main target of social media is youth. “Youth should be vary of the ill-effects of social media and addiction to internet,” he said.
Psychologist Dr Sarveshkumar, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr G N Ashok Kumar, District Hospital Psychiatrist Mohan Babu and others were present on the occasion.
